• More public institutions (78% of 4 year; 62% of 2 year) offer distance education courses than private institutions (19% of 4 year; 5% of 2 year)

• More institutions with large campus enrollments (87% of institutions with campus enrollments greater than 10,00) offered distance education courses than institutions with smaller campus enrollments (75% with 3,000 to 9,999 campus enrollments; only 19% with enrollments less than 3,000.)
